1. Drink lots of water 

Studies show the daily amount of water intake for a male is around 15.5 cups which is equal to 3.7 litres and for a female the recommended intake is around 11.5 cups, equalling 2.7 litres. This seems like a lot of some people but depending on your body, everyone can be slightly different.  Drinking water benefits your skin in a variety of ways: 

  • Drinking water helps to flush toxins and waste from the body, such as fats, acids, sugars, etc. This means water can help to reduce breakouts and inflammation in the skin as it hydrates and

removes bacteria.

  • Water intake increases our hydration levels in the skin and helps to keep our skin tissue healthy. A hydrated skin means skin firmness and elasticity is better 

  • The healing of our skin tissue can be quicker as well and help to fight against skin disorders like psoriasis, eczema and help slow down the effects of skin ageing 

  • So, to sum it up, a high amount of water intake will give you a healthy, glowing complexion.

2. Sunscreen 

Researchers have estimated the time of UV exposure required to maintain a healthy amount of vitamin D in our body is:

  •  10 to 20 minutes sun exposure per a day in the warmer months and, around 2 hours in the cooler months.
